The festival calendar on Costa del Sol, is as wide-ranging as it is surprising, with traditional festivals for just about everywhere, from Malaga City itself to even the smallest of mountain villages.
Most of these festivals are taking place over the summer, and the most important usually being the so-called ‘feast of the patron saint’ of the locality, which is also better known to us all as ‘ferias.’
The Holy Week is an important festival everywhere around Spain, especially around the Andalusia region, and there are also many other types of festivals too, among them the various gastronomic festivals that have become very popular over the past decade.
